It pays to plan ahead
Our standard skip hire duration is up to 14 days. That should give you plenty of time to complete your home, garden, or renovation project – especially if you get organised and make sure your skip’s ready to be filled from the day it’s delivered.
For quick clear-outs, we also have a short-term hire of 3-5 days. It’s a great option if you’re pushed for space and would like the skip to be collected as soon as possible.

Not every job goes to plan
If you’re project’s running over due to unexpected problems or delays, or your skip is taking longer to fill, don’t worry. We can extend your hire period to work around your schedule, but there will be extra charges. Let us know as soon as possible, especially if your skip is on a public road in Cross Green, because we may need to charge extra or apply to extend your permit.
Need us to collect it early?
No problem. If you get ahead of schedule, we can collect your skip at any time during the hire period. You won’t save on the hire cost, but it’s handy if you want to swap it for a new skip, or just want it gone. Simply message or call and we’ll book you in. If you’re in Cross Green, we can often come the same day if you need us to

Permissions and permits
If your skip is placed on a public road or verge, you’ll need a permit – and that will affect how long you can keep your skip. Most council permits last from 7 to 28 days. If you need to keep the skip for longer, we’ll need to renew your permit so you avoid paying a fine.
If the skip is on your private property, there are no council rules, and you won’t need a permit. You’re free to keep your skip as long as you need within our hire terms.
What if you need more time?
If you haven’t agreed an extension in advance, extra changes may apply. It’s always best to call us first if you think you’ll need extra time.
Finally…
We want hiring a skip to be as quick, simple, and affordable as possible. If you have any questions or need choosing the right skip for the job, give our team a call on 0333 0570 200
